THE STORY
Lolo, Lala and their friends have lived peacefully for many years, ever since
the defeat of the Great Devil (in The Adventures of Lolo 2). But suddenly
his son and heir, the new King of Eggerland, launched a hollow capsule filled
with a strange potion that turns the inhabitants of Lolo and Lala's tiny
kingdom to stone. Only Lolo and Lala, basking in the sun at the edge of the
lake between the two kingdoms, were spared this horrible fate. Brave in the
face of adversity, our hero and heroine set out together to defeat the evil
King and cast off his spell. Only you can help our brave pair now...

Adventures of Lolo III is another of those "You can only push a box, never pull it"
puzzle games along the lines of Boxxle and Quirk. This is one of the best of the
genre. It is very long and very challenging, especially near the end.
You are allowed to use either of the protagonists at any time. This does
not have anything to do with the game play as both characters have the same
controls and abilities, but it's fun to use Lala; she has a cute bow.
The overworld map is a nice feature, as it allows you to try a different
fortress if you happen to be stuck on one of the levels of another one. It
lets you still make progress forward instead of being eternally stuck on a
single level.
The only problem I had with this game was the levels involving precise timing
and manual dexterity. At times you are required to move 4 snakes back to back
before they reappear, all the while avoiding moving, instagibbing, Don Medusae.
It's tough, to say the least.
If you're a fan of the puzzle genre, you'll probably get a kick out of this game,
but there are parts where you are required to work fast, keep moving, and aim
carefully, and that may be more along the lines of an action gamer. If you're
a cunning gamer looking for something that'll keep you busy for a few weeks,
Adventures of Lolo III is a blessing.
