The Game Review has been written by Dylan Ocheltree.

The following has been taken from the Abadox instruction manual.
In the year 5012, a strange cytoplasmic creature is sighted in your galaxy.
It's Parasitis! A deadly, formless mass which feeds on all life forms and
assumes the shape of its swallowed prey! Parasitis rapidly advances upon your
home planet, Abadox, and engulfs it!
From nearby space stations, the World Alive Force launches a full-scale attack.
But the massive Parasitis crushes the entire squadron! An orbiting hospital
ship is even swallowed whole - with the beautiful Princess Maria on board!
You are Second Lieutenant Nazal, the lone survivor of the Force. Sidelined
from the action by your ship's faulty energy drive, you witness the attack!
But it's not too late to join the battle!
Now your weapons are ready and your ship has been repaired! Jettison from your
spacecraft, ignite your power pack and zoom into Parasitis' grisly surface.
Your Mission: To blast your way inside Parasitis' nightmarish body and battle
your way to its Core - to destroy it!
Fight your way inside its deadly mouth! Travel down its throat, through its
nerve center - battling hordes of enemy antibodies and bacteria! Use lasers,
guided missiles, and special orbiting shields to destroy them! Beware the
Guardians that ward off all intruders - bombard them with fierce fire power!
You must succeed to save the Universe and rescue Princess Maria!
Prepare to blast off! Your Mission begins!
Abadox has often been called the "Lifeforce clone" by people who haven't thouroughly
played this game. Comparing Lifeforce and Abadox, these two games have lots of
differences, but similiarities as well. The genre of this game is one thats been
heard many times. You are a starship fighter who must travel into a creature named
Parasitis' and destroy its insides and rescue the lovely princess, you can't say
you have never heard anything similar to that before.
Graphics: (8/10)
Wow these graphics are "intense" as the infamous Legend of Zelda geek would say it.
Your traveling through a creatures body, and the ground looks like pig intestines,
"deadly" pig intenstines for if you touch them, you lose a life. Each level has its
own different texture, whether it be pink and purply intestines, or a mangled
red insides, there all different. "Lions, Tigers, and Bears Oh my!" The different
types of enemies in this game leave you mind-boggled, each and everyone of them
are full of colors, and shaped like you never have imagined. The only downside
with the graphics is the poor character design of the main character. He
basically looks like a brown mustard blob, and has no actions whatsoever
besides going up and down, they could of at least gave him some movement.
Sound: (9/10)
The sound is great from the Title menu, and all the way to end credits.
The sound effects really do it to with a really catchy techno beat. With
a soundtrack of approxiametly 8 or 9 songs, everyone of them seem to do
the trick for setting the game. Each weapon has its own sound effect and
actually sound very much like lasers. The only reason the sound of this
game doesn't get a 10 is the lack of variety in enemies. Different enemies
die the same way with the same sound, and anybody is ready for a change.
Gameplay: (6/10)
Unless your a hardcore arcader, this game will definetly take some time
to beat. This game offers a lot of challenging, but almost too much. On
the brighter side the controls are as easy as they get(Up, Down, Shoot).
Another pro the gameplay offers is the weapon assortment. There are plenty
of weapons to obtain by killing enemies and picking up what they leave behind.
Replay Value: (7/10)
Since this game is so challenging, it will keep you coming back for more,
and trying to defeat that Parasitis' and return with the princess. However,
the game is very short, with only 8 levels, but all of those levels are
practically impossible unless you have really good reflexes.
Overall: (not averaged, 8/10)
Yes, overall this game definetly deserves an 8, despite the negative things
such as little movement, and the unbearable challenge of beating this game.
After reading this review, I hope it has given you a second opinion on the
concept of this game. I will leave it up to you to make your own decision
about this game, but in my opinion, I would definetly give this game a try.
